Net income for the period reaches EUR 5.4 million
Orders on hand of more than EUR 133 million set a new benchmark
Share of international business sales rises to more than 27 percent

Sulzemoos 14 November 2007 / Phoenix Solar AG (ISIN DE000A0BVU93), a leading international photovoltaic systems integrator, is publishing its final figures on the third quarter of 2007 today. The provisional figures released on 31 October are thereby confirmed.

In the period from 1 January to 30 September 2007, total sales came to EUR 132.0 million, up from the previous year’s figure of EUR 65.3 million, which is an increase of 102 percent. Sales were attributable as follows: EUR 66.0 million to both the Components & Systems segment (January to September 2006: EUR 41.6 million) and the Power Plants segment respectively (January to September 2006: EUR 23.5 million). International business generated sales of EUR 36.2 million which makes up 27.4 percent of total sales revenues.

At the end of nine months, EBIT stood at EUR 8.98 million which is 407 percent higher in a year-on-year comparison (January to September 2006: EUR 1.77 million). Consolidated net income for the period came in at a gratifying EUR 5.40 million, thus outperforming the previous year's figure by 361 percent (January to September 2006: EUR 1.17 million). Accordingly, earnings per share posted EUR 0.89 which is also significantly higher than the year-earlier figure of EUR 0.21. In the period from January to September 2007, the EBIT margin reached 6.80 percent as compared with 2.71 percent in the previous year’s period.

Orders on hand as per 30 September came to EUR 133.5 million which is again a record level in the history of the company. Of this amount, 64 percent or EUR 85.4 million was generated by the Power Plants segment and 36 percent or EUR 48.1 million by the Components & Systems segment. Orders on hand from domestic business and from international business posted EUR 75.8 million and EUR 57.7 million respectively. This also includes orders which cover the period up until and into the year 2008.
